She was cut from the final version of the game.

Playstation 4 Add ons/Changes[]

  • Upon selecting the game, you immediately get into the prologue. In the PC version, you have to go through a few settings first as well as inputting a name before going into the prologue.
  • There is a new mode called "Arrange Mode" which is essentially a mode designed for those who are new to the SHMUP genre as well as veterans who played the original PC version. The controls are different and one of the more essential controls is being able to lock on to enemies using the right analog stick which was something that you could not do in the original game. You also have the privilege to change the controls to your liking.
  • Upon selecting Arrange Mode, there's an anime still image cutscene between the two protagonists whom are Roy and Fio before they get ready for take off. You will also get a different ending.
  • The original PC mode is available to play as well, however you will not get the added new cutscene and new ending. Since this mode goes strictly by the PC version, you cannot change the controls to your liking either.
  • When piloting the Astebreed mecha, the player can fire a straight horizontal laser when the bullets are fired.
  • The graphics have been enhanced as well as improvements for in-game effects such as explosions.
  • Since this game is rated "E10+" from the ESRB, any profanity from the translated in-game dialogue is removed and replaced with mild insults/lines.
  • There are certain achievements/trophies that have been modified so that they can be easier to achieve. There is also an added Platinum trophy that you can unlock if you unlocked all trophies.
  • Extras are pretty much the same except for an added timeline, rewatching cutscenes, and new added concept art for the new PS4 ending.
