The Filune are the main antagonist in Astebreed. All enemies in the game are of Filune origin.

Filunes are invaders from outer space. In the interest of pursing efficiency, Filune bodies are entirely mechanized, eschewing organic tissue. Controlled by Diagra, an integrated AI, Filunes do not possess individual intelligence. The Filune are able to produce individual units designed for a specific purpose and tuned to the environment they are invading. Reports of Filunes with insect-like properties or marine components have been spotted during the invasion of Earth. As the Filune's singular purpose is to preserve its civilization, they have devoted themselves to researching and developing Lucis, the reality alteration device to control the laws of physics from the inside of the space.

Overview[]
Completely mechanized, the Filune army consists of mass produced units designed for specific purposes in combat, each fitting their own respective role. In preparation for the invasion of earth, the Filune produced a new set of units to deal with earth's envrionment. While most units are specialized for combat, the Filune also possess a regular army that have no special qualities other than the class designated to each unit.
Specialized Units[]
Triforium[]
The Triforium is a small sized scout class unit. Triforiums mainly fly in formation. While Triforiums are the weakest in both offense and defense, the glaring technological disparity between the Terran Coalition Forces and the Filune makes even this tiny unit a grave threat.
Cissoid[]
The Cissoid is a small shock class aircraft. Cissoids are able to stick to target battleships or builds and release antipersonnel weaponry.
Cardioid[]
The Cardioid is a small laser class unit. Its high power laser is able to melt through protective barriers designed for nuclear attacks in a matter of seconds.
Conchoid[]
The Conchoid is a mid-sized fighter class unit. While it may look bulky, the Conchoid possesses incredible maneuverability, making it a serious threat in air combat. The Conchoid is at its best when fighting in urban environments.
Spiral[]
The Spiral is a mid-sized multi-directional shooter class unit. Spiral often play the "fixed battery" role in combat. When dealing with a Filune invasion, it's recommended that Spirals be dealt with first if the opposing side hopes to survive.
Trochoid[]
The Trochoid is a large-sized machine type class. The Trochoid is a heavily armored unit with destructive power designed for suppression. It is also capable of playing a support role in combat, providing energy to surrounding units wirelessly using a large equipped to the unit.
Cycloid[]
The Cycloid is a large-sized unit, and is widely considered to be the most terrifying Filune unit to ever attack Earth directly. Known for boring into buildings and the ground itself and gathering humans as living samples, it was colloquially called a "Digger." When in formation, Cycloids are able to produce a special force field and dig out entire cities. The Cycloid unit was responsible for the destruction of Esto and Fio's home town.
Regular Army[]
Miles[]
Designated as the "soldier" or "grunt", Miles are constantly patrolling the Mobile Planet. Miles usually form triangular prism shapes, and is the most mass-produced Filune unit to date. Miles are the ancestors to the Triforium unit.
Sagittarius[]
Designated as the "ranger", The Sagittarius units usually form in a dodecahedron shape. The Sagittarius possess not only a powerful laser attack, but are also equipped with guided missile capabilities. It is the ancestor to the Conchoid and Cardioid unit.
Nobilis[]
Designated as "nobility", they possess powerful multi-laser weaponry. Nobilis usually form into a dodecahedron prism shape.
Marchio[]
Designated as the "marquis", the Marchio are seldom seen away from the Mother Planet. They are usually in the form of a dodecahedron or an icosahedron shape.
